Product Description

Silica aerogel, also known as "blue smoke" or "solid smoke," is currently the lightest and least dense solid material known. It also boasts the best thermal insulation performance among all known materials. Thanks to its nano-porous structure (1-100 nm), low density (3-250 kg/m³), low dielectric constant (1.1-2.5), low thermal conductivity (0.013-0.025 W/(m·K)), high porosity (80-99.8%), and high specific surface area (500-1000 m²/g), silica aerogel exhibits unique properties in various fields such as mechanics, acoustics, thermodynamics, and optics. Despite its seemingly delicate appearance, silica aerogel is incredibly sturdy and durable. It can withstand pressures thousands of times its own weight and only melts at temperatures as high as 1200 degrees Celsius.

The insulation effect of aerogel blankets is 2-5 times better than traditional insulation materials, and their theoretical lifespan, determined through Arrhenius experiments, is around 20 years. This lifespan is nearly the same as that of buildings.

These products find applications in industries such as petroleum pipelines, automobiles, ships, high-speed trains, and the renewable energy sector.
